The Chairman of the Ikeji Aro 2024 Eke Ekpe Day, Elder Professor Steve Amaramiroh, has urged the people of Arochukwu Kingdom to cease from undermining the Kingdom, especially considering the blessings God has bestowed upon the people through effective representation at both the state and federal levels of government.

This is especially significant with the recent appointment of Eze Dr. Eberechukwu Oji as the Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom.

During Ikeji Aro 2024, he encouraged everyone to have a change of heart, given the blessings that came with the event. He emphasized that it was no coincidence that His Eminence was named Eberechukwu, which means “God’s mercy,” and urged the people to focus on the positive developments in the community.

While mentioning the sons and daughters of the Kingdom who are achieving great success globally, he emphasized that greater achievements can be reached through unity.

In addition, a project called ‘Light Up Arochukwu’ which aims to illuminate all areas of Arochukwu Kingdom was officially launched. The project is an initiative of Eze Eberechukwu Oji. The Standing Committee of the project stated that while it was initiated by His Eminence, it is not a project that can be undertaken by an individual alone.

He commended the Eze Aro for donating 480 units of solar lights out of the 3000 units required to illuminate all streets in the 19 villages. He urged all sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom to come together and contribute effectively to the project.

Additionally, the Arochukwu Kingdom Micro Enterprise Youth Empowerment Program which was also powered by His Eminence Dr Eberechukwu Oji handed out N100,000 to the successful 19 beneficiaries.

The Secretary of the Committee, Dr. Onyema Edward, stated that the N100k is to support them in their existing businesses, especially with the economic crisis in the country, and urged them to make great use of the grant.

The highlight of the event was the cultural exhibition by the 19 villages with Atani Village taking the first position while Amuvi and Amukwa took second and third positions respectively.
