Arochukwu, Abia State –
The Mary Ikoku Foundation (MIF) has announced its Free Market Day event, scheduled to take place on December 31st, 2024, at the Alvan Ville Event Space, Arochukwu.
This charitable event aims to provide essential groceries, household essentials, and relief materials to families in need, free of charge.
The event is part of MIF’s ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and promote social welfare in rural communities. The foundation’s Aka Ajaja Women Farmers Project has empowered over 400 local women farmers through training, resources, and market access, making this event possible.
“We are excited to host this event and give back to our community,” said Mrs. Stella Ogwumike, Executive Secretary of the Mary Ikoku Foundation. “Our goal is to spread love and kindness, and we invite everyone to join us in making a difference.”
The event promises to be a fun-filled day of music, freebies, and celebration, with something for everyone. MIF invites individuals, organizations, and community groups to attend and support this worthy cause.
Mary Ikoku, Founder of MIF, emphasized the importance of dignified charity, “We designed this Free Market event to give beneficiaries the opportunity to choose what they truly need in a market setting, restoring their dignity and empowering them to make their own choices.”
The Mary Ikoku Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering rural communities in Nigeria through sustainable initiatives and collaborative partnerships.
MIF Free Market Day is not just a charitable event; it’s a call to action for individuals, organizations, and well-wishers to step forward and support those in need.
The foundation extends its gratitude to Benjamin Okezie Kalu Foundation, Unubiko Foundation, RTD Thompson Groups, and others who have supported this initiative.
