The good people of Nkerefi in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu State, came together with a spirit of gratitude to celebrate the election victory of Dr. Peter Mbah, the gubernatorial candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Governorship elections.
A Thanksgiving celebration which was held on April 30th, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church Mount Zion Nkerefi, had the atmosphere charged with excitement and joy as members of the party, well-wishers and the people of Nkerefi people came out en masse. They were jubilant as they danced and sang praises to God for the victory recorded in elections. The victory of Dr Peter Mbah in the elections is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the members of the party, particularly in Nkerefi.
In addition to celebrating the election victory, the event was made remarkably special by the commissioning of a Rice Mill Cluster built by Chief. Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe, Special Adviser to Enugu State Governor. The people of Nkerefi were full of gratitude to Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe for his kind gesture and support towards the economy of the community. The commissioning of the rice mill is a proof to his unwavering commitment to the growth, sustainability and development of the people of Nkerefi.
Present at the event were Hon. Cornelius Edeh Bond, Hon. Aninwogbu Ifeanyi (Councillor of Nkerefi Ward 1), Chief Emmanuel Aninwogo, Ani Jacob Offia chairman PDP, Hon. Okafor Alfred, Odi Sunday Emmanuel, Ogbonna Michael, and Chief Nwamba Samuel amongst others.
The event was an attestation to the strong bond between the people of Nkerefi and the PDP; with celebration, gratitude, and hope for a brighter future. The success of the PDP in the elections stood as clear indication of their faith as people of Nkerefi in the leadership of the party. Also, the commissioning of the rice mill also stands as a demonstration of the commitment of the party towards the development of the people and the community at large.
The people of Nkerefi who spoke through their actions today gave a clear message – they believe in the PDP and its leadership, PDP has shown its commitment to the people of Nkerefi, and the people shall continually reciprocate that commitment with their unwavering support extendable also to the Governor-Elect, Dr Peter Mbah as they believe moving forward, they can expect to see even more progress and development in Nkerefi, thanks to the efforts of the PDP and its leaders.
