On this auspicious commemoration of the 62 birthday anniversary of Prof Chukwuma Soludo, I am privileged to author an ode as a way of adding to the body of knowledge on this rare quintessential global achiever of repute.
God in his infinite wisdom elected to bequeath Nigeria with an acclaimed economists on this day 62 years ago. Looking back on that divine act of creation, one thing that becomes very clear is that the all wise God foresaw the challenges that would confront Nigeria aka ‘CHUKWUMA’ and decided to proactively package and produce an adequate SOLUTION appropriately named SOLUDO.
Therefore, it is no surprise that Prof Chukwuma Soludo in keeping with his manifest destiny began to offer economic solutions to Nigeria as member of the Presidential Economic Team and Governor of the apex Central Bank.
Subsequently, when his home state of Anambra needed to fix nagging societal challenges, who better than the bundle of solutions himself to champion the renaissance of the ‘Light of the Nation’, and Prof Chukwuma Solution yielded himself again in service to God and humanity.
As a sign of his preparedness for the office of the Servant-in-Chief of Anambra state, Mr Solution assembled the best technocrats to prepare a workable blueprint that would fast track development in the ‘Light of the Nation’. It was indeed a humbling experience to be invited to make submissions to that document.
My dearest brother Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Mr Governor of Anambra State, as you mark the milestone age of 62 today, I pray that God strengthens you and renews your age in preparation for more years of value addition as Mr Solution.
