Pastor Tomi Arayomi, a televangelist and founder of RIG Nation television, has been arrested alongside his wife by the Department of States Services, DSS.
His brother, who confirmed the development, said the pastor was arrested for political reasons today, Friday, 7th April, 2023.
Pastor Tomi is said to have made some series of prophecies that didn’t sit well with the APC-led federal government.
He is famous for his prophecies against the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Minister Tomi Arayomi gave his prophecy long before Tinubu emerged as presidential candidate.
According to him, the President-elect will not govern Nigeria and that God has prepared someone who will usher in a new Nigeria.
His prophecy, widely believed to be pointing at the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, left many Nigerians calling out the DSS after his arrest.
His 2022 Prophecy reads: “A vision had at 6am this morning. Nigeria, The Lord says, I am about to play My card and during your elections you will hear of those who believe it is their right to rule, do not bend an ear to them nor give them notice for My eyes are on him who believes it is his privilege to serve not his right to rule. For from a cry of My people I will move to shift Nigeria into a new gear and suddenly a challenger shall arise and one who fears My name shall spring forth. Do not let it be said that I have brought you to birth but there is no strength to deliver, for I will do a new thing in Nigeria, I will induce your labour and select a man from among you who is already among you, says the Lord. Suddenly, one shall come forward and throw his hat into the race! You will not yet see it even though it has always stood before you.
“For there will be those who say, God does not enter the voting elections of men but I will say to them, “the lot is cast into the lap but it’s every decision comes form Me!” ~ proverbs 16:33.
“Nigeria, you are at your tipping point, this is your decisive moment. In it there is great pain, great turmoil and many shall say, look to the elections but I will say, “Look to the elect!” For I will even raise up my elect in the midst of your elections.
“I will raise up a shepherd from among you and some will despise him, others will decry him as a puppet of the old but those who see with My eyes and hear with My ears will see a bridge and a crossing. I will entrust him with a custodianship to hand the Nation to a new generation.
“Nigeria, you are at a tipping point, a decisive moment and there will be those who will plot disaster, they have sown the wind and shall reap the whirlwind. But the leader I will raise shall carry a redemptive anointing. I will declare ahead of you, see what am doing.
