2023: S’ East Renaissance Assembly commends N Govs on power shift, makes case for South East

The SouthEast Renaissance Assembly has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Northern Governors of the All Progressives Party for ceding the Presidency to the South.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Chief Gbazueagu Nweke Gbazueagu, SERA, a group of eminent South East politicians described the gesture as an uncommon sacrifice, and by the grace of God, an opportunity for the South East zone to produce the next president.

While speaking with the Press, Chief Gbazueagu said;

“For SERA, the gesture of concession of the presidency to the South is not just heartwarming but goes to show our party APC as a party is sensitive to the ideals of nation building and accommodation of all interests.

“However, the Group reiterates the fact that the decision of the Party is in the interest of equity, fairness and justice that the South East should be supported to produce the APC presidential candidate and by extension the President of Nigeria come 2023.

“We also appeal to the leadership of our Party in the South South and the South West to concede the presidential ticket of our party to South East given that we have supported them in previous elections respectively.

“We sincerely thank eminent individuals and groups for their stand and support across the six geo-political zones of the country.”
