Umunnem Ndi Nkanu West, my contract with you is QUALITY, VIBRANT and ACCOUNTABLE REPRESENTATION.
We have done it in the past, we can do it again and even better.

The mandate I seek is for the future of our Constituency.
Nkanu West has been represented by different people since the return to democratic rule in 1999, I would build on the gains made by them if elected.

My shortest time in government is a pointer to the fact that I can do more if given a higher opportunity. The records are there.

Upon assumption of office as Special Assistant to His Excellency the Governor on youth Affairs, I made good my experience in the media industry to recommend for the revamping of the near-mouribond State Owned Newspaper “Daily Star” which the Governor graciously approved and today we have Daily Star Online News, Enugu.

I also optimalized the operation of Daily Star Online through vigorous news coverage and reportage of government policies and programs, not withstanding my constant Radio Program at ESBS Sunrise FM Enugu which is solely for the promotion of government policies and Programs.

Enugu 2023: Why Johnpaul Anih is best for Nkanu West State Constituency

BREAKING: 2023- Nkanu West youths flood Enugu Govt House, reject 4th term bid of state assembly position

About 70 near-out-of-school students drawn from four secondary Schools in my local government were given scholarship under the “Johnpaul’s Education Support Scheme, JESS”

I was able to pay for WAEC & NECO fees of some indigent secondary school students from my local government as part of efforts to see that our children get western education.

As a youth, I understood what it means to be unemployed and in my thinking on how to curb unemployment, I proposed for the establishment of the Enugu State Ultramodern Skill Acquisition Centre for our youths which later metamorphosed into “Enugu State Tech Hub And Innovation Centre” that was Commissioned last year by His Excellency the Governor.

I called the attention of His Excellency to the existing water scarcity in my community and he graciously approved for the provision of two solar powered boholes to two different autonomous communities in Akpugo Nkanu West, which have been completed and Commissioned by the Governor after 11 years of failed attempt by successive governments.

I have used my office in collaboration with the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development to converge “Enugu Youth Leaders’ Summit” to address the issues of growing unemployment, youth restiveness and youth participation in politics.

During the Endsars protest embarked on by the Nigerian youths to register their displeasure over the way the affairs of the country is managed, I mobilised my team immediately after my Press Conference, went round the metropolis to see the level of damage done and later engaged few leaders in that regard.

I subsequently paid an unscheduled condolence visit to some of the families who lost their loved ones in that protest, assured them of the government’s determination to arresting the situation.

During the Covid19 outbreak, I embarked on vigorous sensitization campaign in our communities and ensured the distribution of food items and other materials to my people to cushion the effects of the pandemic.

Our Town Hall meetings and other activities geared towards making Ndi beanyi feel the impact of this administration may not be contained here because of time.

It is important to note therefore that these few milestones were made possible through the grace of God and the privilege of service by the Governor who passionately wants to better the lots of Enugu Citizens and inhabitants.

I sincerely owe His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a mountain of gratitude but I lack words to express how grateful I’m for giving me the privilege to serve under him.

If given the opportunity to represent Nkanu West Constituency at the hallowed chamber of the Enugu state House of Assembly come 2023, I pledge to rededicate myself to my duties in support of His Excellency’s avowed commitment towards sustaining the existing peace and security in Enugu State, most importantly, supporting his massive rural development agenda.

In a time like this in our history, Nkanu West Constituency need a QUALITY, VIBRANT and EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION. I can offer them.

Support this mandate maka odimma Ndi beanyi.

It’s time,
It’s possible,
Let’s do it together.

Chukwu gozierem unu🙋‍♂️

Johnpaul Anih,
PDP House of Assembly Aspirant, Nkanu West Constituency.
