Dr Ononogbu

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abia State chapter, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu has called on all members of the party in the state to close ranks and join hands with him to build a formidable party that is able to wrestle power away from the PDP buccaneers in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Abia state.

Ononogbu made the solemn call on the heels of his Appeal Court victory, which affirmed him as the authentic Chairman of the APC in Abia state.

In a Press Statement, signed by Dr. Ononogbu himself and made available to journalists, he described the judgment as timely, as it sets the stage for all progressives in Abia State APC to put their differences aside and come together to begin the urgent and serious work of rebuilding and repositioning the party in readiness to liberate ndi Abia from the slavery, hardship, poverty and arrested development which the PDP has subjected the state to for over two decades.

“This is not the time for divisions and political posturing for position or power. We must all be humble and act in the common interest of our long suffering brothers and sisters in Abia State” he said.

“The good people of Abia State have suffered the highest form of misgovernance, abuse, neglect and failed leadership in the annals of Nigeria and their daily cries for help must be our priority and focus. Fortunately for us in the APC, history and unfolding events now places us at an opportune moment and an auspicious time for us to act with decisive unity to liberate Abia State from the shackle of incompetence, corruption, recklessness and criminality of the PDP” he added.

Continuing Dr. Ononogbu said “it is time to bring back progress, development, peace and good governance to Gods Own State and this will require the help, support, goodwill and partnership of every member of APC from the ward, local government and state level in Abia State.

“Abia State is a fertile ground and there is no task more urgent than to mobilize all our people to chase away the locusts and caterpillars in the state and begin to create the right conditions for prosperity to flourish. That is why there is nothing for me to celebrate with the victory at the Appeals court.

“The only celebration I look forward to and pray for is the coming together of a united Abia APC and a landslide victory in the 2023 elections in Abia State. Then and only then shall we come together as one united APC family to celebrate the liberation of Abia state.”
