Barely two days to the 2023 governorship/state house of Assembly elections in Enugu, an Nkanu cultural group, Nkanu Youth Welfare Association has thrown it’s weight behind the House of Assembly candidate for Nkanu West Constituency under the platform of Labour Party, Hon. Johnpaul Anih over his unmatchable track records of hardwork, competence, capacity and character which has distinguished him from other candidates.

The group in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Chief Chinwendu Okoye and made available to newsmen on Wednesday said Hon. Johnpaul Anih stands tall amongst other candidates in the race for the House of Assembly seat in Nkanu West.

Chief Okoye regretted that Nkanu West has been quite unfortunate as it has lacked quality representation at the floor of the House, the worst being from 2011 to the present 2023.

The group said Nkanu West within the period under review has never been privileged to have her voice heard for the right reasons whether in sponsorship of people oriented bills or in being the people’s ambassador.

They pledged total commitment to the liberation of their land from backwardness, poor representation, underdevelopment and resolved to voting only Labour Party candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Nkanu Youth welfare Association maintained that a radical departure will be taken on March 18th 2023 as a beacon of light, a vibrant young man who understands the ropes is offering to deliver robust representation for the great people of Nkanu West at the house of Assembly.

They further called on Nkanu West voters to come out en mass on Saturday and cast their votes for Hon. Johnpaul Anih of the Labour Party.
