Human rights activist, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor has tasked the Nigerian President, the National Security Adviser and the Chief of Defence Staff to, as a matter of urgency, demand for the arrest and deportation of Mr Simon Ekpa, the self acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

A visibly shaken and angry Eholor spoke to our correspondent in his Benin City abode Saturday morning while reacting to the wanton killing of soldiers on a peace mission in Aba, Abia State.

The human rights defender in his speech, argued that no nation can protect a man whose speeches are direct instructions for the attack of the security officers and apparati of a sovereign nation like Nigeria. He wondered why the hundreds of videos where Ekpa had directed IPOB militants to kill and destroy security officers have not been used to demand for his arrest. He also said Nigeria must take very drastic action against Finland if it fails to act.

His words “It is sad that the month of May ended with an act of terrorism perpetrated in Aba, Abia State Nigeria with the killing of five soldiers who were there to keep the peace. Some of us who are non Igbos but had some sympathy for the IPOB, I am sorry that with that very action of those coward terrorists, the IPOB lost that little goodwill.

A timid coward, claiming to be their leader is in far away Finland and the only job he does is to instigate violence and wanton destruction of lives and property in his own country home. How does the National Security Adviser to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu explain away the fact that a country that shares diplomatic relationship with Nigeria is harboring a terrorist?

You can’t be the NSA and you are there and can’t bring fire and brimstone against Finland! Nuhu Ribadu, if you cannot get Finland to arrest him, resign. A terrorist is a terrorist anywhere he is, and by global standard, Simon Ekpa is a terrorist that must be arrested and tried for terrorism against the Nigerian state and people.

There should be no safe place for a terrorist. A terrorist is a terrorist, and should not be mistaken for a separatist. Therefore, no country should accommodate a terrorist. Simon Ekpa has been exposed, he has been doing videos from Finland. The NSA should have a dialogue with Finland or Nigeria must cut ties with them. We are a sovereign nation and you cannot have one faggot making unguarded statements to encourage criminality and terrorism in Nigeria and people are dying for his sake daily.

He cannot hide under the toga of Biafra struggle to kill innocent security officers.

Finland government must deport that man and hand him over to Nigeria. And you Simon Ekpa, if you are not a coward, why don’t you come back yourself and fight your perceived enemies, instead of sitting away in cozy Europe and send your illiterate followers to go and kill and die? You are a coward! I dare you to come back and face them.

Let me also appeal to the Federal Government to try and treat everybody with the same standard. Easterners or Westerners, Northerners or Southerners.

Sunny Igbodo was arrested and detained in Cotonou. He has been released.

Some crazy murderers who used to be in Boko Haram have been released, rehabilitated and enlisted into the police and military. Killers and murderers.

But Nnamdi Kanu who is from the East, why won’t they free him? The last time I saw him on TV, he was remorseful, and said he has not asked anybody to kill, that if he is outside for an hour, the whole killings in the South East will stop. Nuhu Ribadu, can’t we have a dialogue and get the President to free Nnamdi Kanu? Why is he being treated differently?

The call for dialogue between the Nigerian Federal Government and Nnamdi Kanu’s Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has never been more urgent. Please, let it happen now.

Finally, I want to appeal to the Nigerian Army. The criminals who did this act have returned to their hideouts. I want to beg you not to go on a revenge mission and kill innocent civilians.

The horrors of what happened in Delta State is still in our memory and we are begging that you act with precision and not allow the innocent to fall where criminals should.
