The governorship election in Abia State was predicted by political pundits to be a 5-horse race involving the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; All Progressives Congress, APC; All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA; Labour Party, LP; Young Progressives Party, YPP;

 

However, the race is shaping up to be between the PDP and Labour Party.
