Awka, October 7, 2025 — A prominent member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ogilisi Igbo, has declared that no one should dare Ndi Anambra by attempting to manipulate or pre-write the upcoming governorship election results.

The revered APGA elder and cultural leader said Anambra’s political destiny would not be toyed with by those seeking to impose fake results on the people. He emphasized that the coming election will be free, fair and credible — and that APGA, as the people’s party, will emerge victorious through the will of the electorate.

“Anambra elections will hold. The electorate will vote in a free and fair election, and APGA will emerge as the winners. The ofo — the staff of authority — given to APGA is still very intact,” he declared.

According to the elder statesman, Anambra remains too politically sophisticated for anyone to tamper with its democratic process.

“Anambra results will not be written; they will be counted and announced. The state is too big for anybody to prepare fake results and impose on the people,” he said.

He commended the Old Aguata Union (OAU) for blessing Governor Charles Soludo to lead the state, describing the governor as a visionary leader who has continued to transform Anambra for the best.

The Igbo spiritual leader also called on all governorship candidates with good manifestos to present them to Governor Soludo, noting that the governor is open to adopting ideas that can help in the continued development of the state.

“Anyone running for governorship and has a good manifesto should come forward and present it to the governor so he may use it to make Anambra number one in development. It’s our state — it belongs to all of us. We are brothers and sisters,” he said.

Turning his attention to those promoting sit-at-home orders and agitation from abroad, the APGA stalwart issued a stern warning:

“To those advocating for sit-at-home on election day, especially those abroad — stay off and be warned. They should desist or else they will fall victim to the ever-vigilant security operatives. No indiscipline shall be tolerated on that election date.”

He condemned those instigating insecurity in the name of Biafra while living comfortably outside the country, saying such people have no moral right to destabilize Igboland.

“Anyone who sets fire on his father’s house is a bastard and deserves the curse of the land,” Ogilisi Igbo stated.
“Anambra State, prepare — this election is going to be free and fair, and it shall favour us all.”

He reaffirmed his belief that Governor Soludo remains the best choice for Ndi Anambra, urging all citizens to turn out en masse and exercise their civic responsibility peacefully on election day.
