Immediate past Provost of ATCOI College of Education, Mazi Zulu Ofoelue has been appointed the Director General, (Very Rev. Fr) Prof Stan Chinedu Anih Foundation(PROFSCA).
In a letter signed by the Pro-Chancellor of Coal City University and Chairman, PROFSCA Foundation, Sir Chinedu Ani, and made available to Jungle-Journalist.Com, the appointment was made based on the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
He further said that the appointment, which takes effect immediately, is strictly based on integrity.
It read also “We have no doubt you will be disposed to carry out the duties effectively.
“The job is quite challenging and committal but we know you are well-equipped by your wealth of experience and training to execute the assignments effectively and efficiently.”
Ofoelue, who is an educational administrator, civil society activist and economist, is one of the direct educators groomed by the late Father Stan Anih on learner-centered education philosophy.
He has been a Director with the Foundation since inception in 2014 and will be occupying the position held by the late Steve Ukiwe, pioneer DG of the Foundation who died in 2022.
PROFSCA Foundation was established to honour the memory of Rev Fr Professor Stanislus Chinedu Anih, the founder of ATCOI College of Education and Coal City University.
In his lifetime, Fr Stan Ani was dedicated to providing education to as many people as he could, as fast as he could. Thus, he is behind the establisment of over a dozen secondary schools and tertiary education centres, both privately owned and owned by the Catholic Church.
To honour him, the foundation was established to continue his legacy by providing scholarships and educational materials to people across the globe.
