Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has described President Muhamadu Buhari’s directive to the army to shoot unknown gunmen at sight as an exhibition of insensitivity and cowardice.

MASSOB, while reacting to the order, stated that deployment of Northern soldiers to carry out the assignment is genocidal, and will bring more disaster to the Nigeria.

Uchenna Madu, Leader of MASSOB further said “President Buhari and his Fulani cabals in their inner sense of reasonings believe that with their kinsmen occupying the military positions of service chiefs including all the most senior military high rank offices/ positions, they will easily crush Biafra, maybe with their intimidating tendencies over Igbo governors, national assembly members, religious/ opinion/political leaders, they still think they can crush Biafra with the mindset of 1967–1970 Biafra Nigeria war.

“Buhari’s military civilian administration is the worst government Nigeria ever experienced, his leadership style of enforcing & imposing Islamic Hausa Fulani agenda on the rest of Nigeria people is tremendously assisting and justifying our struggle for Biafra actualization, Buhari’s stubbornness and Islamic fundamentalism against the Christian Southern, Eastern & Middle Beltan regions have reawakened the consciousness & thought of future survival of the people of this regions.

“MASSOB want Nigerian President Buhari to continue to make similar blind mistakes which always expresses his frustrations. Any king who thinks like Pharaoh of Egypt against the Jews will certainly experience the doom of Pharaoh.

“No man born of a
woman can crush Biafra because God, history and humanity are on our side. The Biafra revolution is indestructible.

“MASSOB wishes to inform President Buhari that deploying his Nigerian military Fulanised soldiers to Biafra land to carry out his shoot at sight order, arresting and detention of non violence Biafra freedom fighters. killings, persecutions, mesmerizations, suppressions and oppressions of Biafrans including clampdown on non-violent and unarmed agitators because of our agitation for self rule only worsens the problem and underscores Nigeria as repressive colonial state.

“President Muhamadu Buhari and his cabals are jittery because of Biafra day anniversary celebration coming up on May 30th. The massive presence of Hausa Fulani soldiers deployed to Biafra land will never stop or frustrate the Biafra day anniversary celebration.

“Biafra agitating groups are not the problem, the Nigerian state as constituted is. Biafra agitation is only a reaction to the many injustices, exclusion, second class citizenship, born to rule philosophy, marginalization and other forms of inequality that characterise the Nigerian state”.
