As part of his empowerment efforts to support Dr. Asue Ighodalo in the upcoming Governorship election, Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor, an Edo-born, American-based surgeon, has moved his Market Women Money Empowerment across the three Senatorial districts, with ongoing empowerment in Oredo Local Council.

Dr. Igbinadolor, who supported Hon. (Dr.) Tom Obaseki, Executive Chairman, Oredo Local Government Council to carry out this latest drive, stated that the empowerment and distribution of market women’s money is intended to help traders during these difficult times. We are in difficult circumstances in Nigeria, and one of your own son who is based in America has decided to help women in several markets throughout the state.

Dr. Tom Obaseki who was speaking on Monday at Uwa Market in Oredo said “This money comes from your own son, Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor, who is angry with the level of hunger and suffering that you are going through and has decided to help 100 market women with 10,000 naira each for you to add to your businesses.

He said I should beg all Edo Women not to vote for those who are making us to suffer in Nigeria. Don’t vote for APC. APC has caused problems in Nigeria, and we need people like Asue Ighodalo in PDP to step in and help us. Everyone should vote for the PDP so that we can have cheap food and security in our community,” he said.

While thanking Dr. Igbinadolor for empowering hundreds of women, the Oredo Council Boss encouraged the beneficiaries to continually pray for Dr. Igbinadolor and his friend in the United States, Sir (Chuef) Tonna Okei who was a part of this vision, for their concern in helping others to succeed. He tasked them with using the money for the intended purpose.

He assured that when the PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo wins the governorship election, Dr. Igbinadolor will provide additional support to women and traders. I admonishe you all to go tell the other women. Everyone should vote for Asue Ighodalo so that the market women empowerment fund can continue he said.
