The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in Abia State, Professor Greg Ibe, has dedicated his affirmation by the Supreme Court as the authentic flag bearer of the party to God.

Professor Ibe in a statement by the Director of Media and Publicity of his Campaign Council, Rev. Sleek Ogwo, said his triumph at the apex court court was a confirmation that he was on a divine assignment to rescue Abia.

He recalled how his decision to offer himself to serve the state in the capacity of Governor, has come under severe attack by a coalition of anti-democratic forces holding the state down.

Professor Ibe, however, thanked God that despite the intensity of his travails, he was able to prevail.

He, therefore, appealed to all those who challenged him in the court to put behind the past and throw their weight behind him now that the supreme court had decided on the hitherto contentious issues.

Professor Ibe extended the olive branch to his opponents, soliciting their support as the party goes into election on Saturday.

He noted that if APGA goes to the election as a united family, the party would sweep the polls considering its growing popularity across the state.

Professor Ibe also thanked his teeming supporters who have stood firmly behind him and urged them not to relent until he emerges on March 11.

Similarly, APGA Chairman in the state, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, said the supreme court validation of Professor Ibe’s candidacy, was a confirmation that he is on a divine mission.

He said that the cheering news of Professor Ibe’s supreme court victory three days to the governorship election is a good omen of the bright fortunes awaiting him at the poll.

Ehiemere urged APGA members and supporters as well as Abia voters to vote massively for Ibe and other APGA candidates for the total emancipation of Abia.

He predicated a landslide victory for APGA at the Saturday election.
