ABUJA, Nigeria –

As Nigeria celebrated her 65th Independence anniversary, High Chief (Amb.) Dr. Usman Ahmed Abdul-Dimka also marked his 54th birthday in a remarkable way—by giving back to society through a large-scale feeding outreach that touched hundreds of lives in the Federal Capital Territory.

The event, organized in partnership with the Pzafaama Helping Hand Foundation (PHHF), was themed “Feeding Hope” and targeted vulnerable residents across Abuja and its suburbs. Instead of hosting a lavish party, Dr. Abdul-Dimka chose to dedicate his special day to service and compassion—an act consistent with his enduring commitment to humanity.

From the early hours of the day, volunteers and community members joined the PHHF team in distributing hot meals and essential items at designated locations. The initiative transformed parts of the capital into zones of joy and gratitude, as residents expressed appreciation for the gesture.

“This is not just a celebration of my life, but a celebration of what we can achieve together when we care for one another,” Dr. Abdul-Dimka said, visibly moved by the enthusiasm and turnout.

Beneficiaries hailed the gesture as a reflection of genuine leadership and empathy. “High Chief Abdul-Dimka has shown us that real leaders lead with love,” one resident said, adding that the outreach brought hope to many who had little to celebrate that day.

Dr. Abdul-Dimka—who holds the traditional titles of King Grip Rong Community (Garkuwa) and Nhik Chin of Kabwir District (Shield and Protector)—has remained a steadfast advocate of social welfare and unity. Through the Pzafaama Helping Hand Foundation and other community engagements, he continues to push for shared responsibility and service between leaders and citizens.

As the sun set on October 1, the twin celebration of Nigeria’s independence and Dr. Abdul-Dimka’s birthday stood as a testament to the power of selflessness—a reminder that true freedom thrives where generosity and community spirit abound.
