Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Jr, son of the late Biafran leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has firmly refuted the circulating rumour claiming that former Anambra State governor, H.E. Dr. Willie Obiano, has died.
In a message sent to Jungle Journalist Media Limited, Ojukwu Jr revealed that he had personally spoken with Obiano and his wife, confirming that the former governor is alive, well, and in good spirits.
He wrote:
“I just spoke to him (H.E. Obiano) and his wife! He is perfectly fine!!! 🙏🏽
To God be the glory,
Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Jr.”
This latest confirmation reinforces earlier statements from the Spiritual Leader of the Igbo people, Ogilisi-Igbo, who also debunked the viral claim and clarified that Obiano resides in Houston, Texas — not London, where the false report alleged he had died.
With these first-hand assurances, the rumour surrounding Obiano’s wellbeing has been further dismissed as baseless and misleading.
