The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has lashed out at the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, accusing him of deceit, false prophecy, and anti-Igbo bias.

In a strong-worded statement signed by the group’s National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, MASSOB condemned what it described as Ayodele’s “sponsored mission of deceiving people in the name of hearing from God,” and warned him to desist from his “tribalized crusade against Ndigbo and Peter Obi.”

“Your deceit and falsehood exposed” — MASSOB

MASSOB, under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu, accused Ayodele of running a media-backed campaign to discredit former presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, whose vision for a new Nigeria, it said, is supported by “over 90 percent of citizens.”

The group alleged that while Ayodele has consistently attacked Obi and the South-East, he has maintained silence over “the huge, overflowing evils” perpetrated under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“In your over-speed support bid for your brother president, you turned blind eyes on the ongoing genocide against your Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria,” MASSOB said, adding that the cleric was quick to defend Tinubu after the United States under President Donald Trump moved to intervene against killings of Christians in Nigeria.

MASSOB backs Trump’s intervention

Declaring its full support for President Donald Trump’s administration, MASSOB hailed his efforts “to dismantle the formations and Islamic mission of Islamising the Nigerian state.”

The pro-Biafra group said Christians are being massacred daily without protection or intervention from the Nigerian federal government, insisting that Trump’s position is justified.

MASSOB dismissed Ayodele’s claim that Trump’s intervention was aimed at destabilizing Tinubu’s administration, stating that “Tinubu is the one destabilizing his own government.”

“Tinubu destabilizing himself”

According to MASSOB, the President’s alleged nepotism, corruption, and incompetence are at the root of Nigeria’s worsening crisis.

“Tinubu appointed his kinsmen, the Yorubas, to head and manage 98 percent of all significant and relevant government positions. He runs the government like a family business and surrounds himself with the most corrupt politicians,” the group alleged.

They further described Tinubu as “clueless and insensitive in managing the economy and security of the country,” warning that the growing hardship and insecurity could trigger more unrest.

“God did not install Tinubu”

MASSOB also took a swipe at Primate Ayodele’s recent call on Tinubu to seek God’s face, calling it deceitful and hypocritical.

“Tinubu should seek the face of former INEC chairman, Yakubu Mahmoud, and former CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, not God. They are the ones who installed him, not God,” the group stated.

MASSOB maintained that the United States government’s alleged lack of confidence in Tinubu’s 2027 bid stems from what it called a “stolen mandate,” accusing INEC and the judiciary of connivance in “imposing a president Nigerians did not vote for.”

The statement concluded with MASSOB reaffirming its total support for President Donald Trump’s anti-jihadist campaign, urging global powers to act decisively to end the persecution of Christians and minorities in Nigeria.
