A large crowd of supporters welcomed the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso to Kaduna today, October 8.
Kwankwaso arrived Kaduna to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Mohammed which holds on October 10.
The crowd which gathered at the Ranchers Bees Stadium, turned political and was attended by a massive supporters of Kwankwaso who decked the signature red cap of his supporters.
Analysts have been dismissing Kwankwaso’s presidential bid, saying his support base does not extend beyond Kano State. The rallies he has held in Nasarawa, Borno and now Kaduna have demonstrated that he is not a pushover in the presidential race.
The 2023 presidential election is believed to be a three horse race between the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party (LP) standard bearer, Peter Obi. Analysts say Kwankwaso will eat from the votes of the APC and PDP candidates, thereby improving the chances of Obi in the North. Although his support base is believed to be largely in urban areas.
