Tambuwal Not Your Legacy; Show Nigerians Your Legacy, Group Blast APC

A social-political support group for Aminu Tambuwal under the aegis of Tambuwal Media Support Group TMSG has responded to the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, over his crude poorly worded statement issued against Senator Aminu Tambuwal, who they described as the Paragon of morality and conscience of Nigeria politics in the midst of a slippery political field where actors whom the nation would have looked up to for redemption have sold their integrity for a price.

According to them, rather than replying to Senator Aminu Tambuwal with vexation, Felix Morka would have shown Nigerians the legacy of the APC. The attack against Tambuwal seems to be the only Legacy that the APC has publicly displayed.

“We are calling on Felix Morka to follow the footsteps of Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State, who recently apologized to Nigerians over the failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to achieve its promises since taking over power. The former governor tendered his apology during his appearance on Channels Television on Thursday evening when he said “We must apologise to the Nigerian people. We have not succeeded in achieving everything we promised to Nigerian,” Fayemi said. Felix Morka should hide his face in shame for seeking to defend the undefendable even when Governors of the APC admitted and repeatedly echoed the claim of Senator Aminu Tambuwal that the APC is visionless and directionless”.

“Tambuwal is not the APC’s legacy; Felix Morka should show Nigerians the APC’s legacy rather than attempting to play God in men’s affairs; pretence gets cracked. The media attack against  Tambuwal is diversionary when everything is currently against Nigerians. Despite the potential to become a powerful and prosperous nation, Nigeria has drifted aimlessly as a forsaken nation, plagued by corruption and institutionalized banditry under the APC’s administration. We are now a people dehumanized by widespread poverty amid abundance, exploited by opportunists who have heightened insecurity.”

Wondering why the APC has priorities attack against Tambuwal rather than addressing the economic depression facing the nation, they said,  Morka’s remark about Tambuwal’s defection to the APC in 2014 and subsequent return to the PDP in 2018 has validated the fact that the APC is clueless and directionless, as Tambuwal is not known to be part of a clueless association. APC is a mere lumping together of people without a cause that is morally other than a mere conspiracy to seize power. Senator Aminu Tambuwal doesn’t lump in such a gathering of stomach infrastructure and Rent-Seeking Politicians who have sold their soul and would auction the nation if given such an opportunity.

Comrade Benjamin Atu, the group’s National Coordinator, said in a statement issued today in Lagos, that Tambuwal will always stand up for what is right, even if it means standing alone. Nigeria needs a credible alternative to the APC that can think outside the box to address the nation’s numerous problems rather than an administration that has perfected the fruitless art of recycling old ideas that have never resulted in any tangible progress for the country since its inception. When no one is planning the future of a country, such a country has no future. APC is not planning about the development of the country apart from how to turn the nation into a one part State through  stomach infrastructure.”

The Group challenged the All Progressive Congress APC to relinquish power to Senator Aminu Tambuwal in 2027 and watch if he does not accomplish in four years what APC has been struggling to achieve in the past ten years. Tinubu and the APC are already overwhelmed by the numerous economic challenges that have rendered them helpless. Rather than struggling with the ongoing charade and policy summersaults, we are ready to offer Senator Aminu Tambuwal to help rescue the nation and achieve in four years what has taken APC forever to accomplish. A political party that is leading from the front will not be seen struggling to find politicians to fill their empty ship, which is sailing aimlessly.

They maintained that the APC administration’s morbid desire to turn Nigeria into a one-party state has elevated a political party that should ordinarily serve as stewards of democracy above national interests. Tambuwal has the cure for the ills of democracy, which can’t be offered by the APC, as leading a people is not the same as leading a mob. APC see conspiracy and self-service in others because they believe everyone is like them. APC should shun personal and political interest and dwell on National interest rather than name-calling and preying on dangerous emotions in the midst of the widening gap between promise and performance. As the gap continues to grow, so too will public distrust of the APC continues till 2027 when they will be swept off by the collective will of Nigerians.

Comrade Benjamin Atu described the APC National Publicity Secretary’s claim that Nigeria is making progress under the APC as laughable and a mirage. Nigeria has continued to make progress in figures and statistics, but this has not translated into improved living conditions for the masses. Many Nigerians are dying daily of hunger and starvation, the level of school dropouts has increased like never seen before, idleness and joblessness have forced the productive sector of the nation, the Nigerian Youth, into crime, while more females have been engaged in prostitution, making the insecurity situation worse. Only a clueless government will refuse to accept responsibility for its failure to protect citizens’ lives and property.

“If only President Bola Tinubu has the Almighty solution to our multiple challenges then the whole Nigeria project is not a viable one, as it will be a none sustainable project. APC must stop believing that Nigeria’s existence is solely dependent on them. It will soon become obvious that those who defected did so for stomach infrastructure when only a sprinkling of people will be left in the APC as we approach the 2027 general election. Togetherness is a choice and not by Force.” the statement added.
