The Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Enugu State, Engr Prince Lawrence Ozoemena Ezeh has commended the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah for his numerous strides in the wholesome development of the state.

Ezeh in a Press Statement, listed some of the ground-breaking goals of the governor, affirming that Ndi Enugu indeed, elected the right man to galvanise the state into becoming a first class State across the globe.

Speaking, Ezeh said “It is with great pleasure that I commend His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah for his numerous achievements as our dear Governor. Having carefully gone through some of the programmes that he has launched, it is difficult for a man on such a path not to come out blazing in glory.

“As part of the Governors Team, I am proud to identify with His Excellency, and I must spell out some of these strides for the sake of posterity.

“I am aware that Enugu State under Peter Mbah has struck agreements with partners and multilateral agencies to bring development to Ndi Enugu. The functions of governance is undergoing full automation, and under this programme, Artificial Intelligence-powered (AI) process automation flow will ensure that Certificates of Occupancy will soon be generated within 48 hours in Enugu. The resulting Unified Architecture will also enhance annual Internally Generated Revenues from land transactions.

“The issue of security that had dragged for several years is almost a thing of the past today, as sit-at-home has packed it’s bags and left Enugu state. Full security apparatus has also being activated to function 24,7 in the state, including personnel, vehicles, security cameras etc.

“The Governor promised to provide potable water under 180 days, and in 100 days only, Enugu is currently producing over 25 million litres of water daily at Ninth Mile, the highest in the last 20 years, and our dear Governor has promised to increase this to 70 million liters daily by the end of October, and deliver water across Enugu before the elapse of 180 days since inauguration.

“Dr Mbah has successfully signed into law the Enugu State Power law, which domesticates the Electricity Act 2023, and developed the Enugu State Electricity Policy, which gives the State regulatory power to establish an Enugu State Electricity Market and attract investors to expand power generation and distribution across Enugu.

“The last Economic Roundtable few weeks ago attracted both public and private sector development partners, including AfDB, AFREXIM,FCDO, the World Bank etc, who have shown great interest in investing in our State.

“In no time at all, our Governor would begin the refurbishment of at least 260 Primary Health Care Centres and construction of 260 model basic schools across the wards in order to bring quality education and health to every Enugu citizen. Work is also starting for the rehabilitation of 81 urban roads and construction of 2 fly over bridges in the state.

“We are also aware that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Stadium is undergoing surface re-laying.

“Salaries of teachers and gratuities are also being reviewed to give them a human face so that Enugu workers and pensioners can begin to truly have a feel of life.

“For these strides under 100 days, and a lot more not mentioned, I am confident that Enugu people are very fortunate with Dr Peter Mbah as our Governor.

“Congratulations Mr Governor, as you keep up the stride and continue to do more”, Engr Ezeh stated.
