As Nigeria journeys into another political dispensation come 2023, we are not unaware of the mood of the nation, “the heightened insecurity, wanton destruction of lives and property” by those who have lost hope and confidence in the system and who find no available remedies to the injustices that pervades the facets of the entire nation.

Fellow Nigerians, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Presidency shall calm the nerves, heal the wounds and further restore this country to the path of Peace and Progress inline with the dreams of the founding fathers.

As Youths of Enugu State, we are not in doubt that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s political orientation and leadership approach is what Nigeria needs to remain united as a Nation and to make the desired progress.

In view of the above, we will not hesitate to galvanize supports for him should he decides to heed the clarion call to aspire for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023.
We call on Ndigbo and Nigeria at large to think in this direction.

Notwithstanding the unwarranted provocations and utterances coming from unexpected quarters, the Youths of Enugu state will not succumb to becoming agents of destruction as Enugu still remain the epicentre of Peace and security in Nigeria.

This government without grandstanding, remains the most youth friendly government in the history of Enugu State and is also committed to creating satellites towns through massive rural roads construction and rural electrification, this the Governor believes will reduce the burden of the rural dwellers.

The state government is aware of the yearnings and aspirations of the youths which includes but not limited to curbing the rising youths unemployment, creating access to affordable tertiary education, creating conducive environment for business to thrive, giving supports to small businesses and enlarging the scope of youth participation in government.

Ndi Enugu, history beckons on us to become and remain agents of change not of destruction, and that we cannot afford to fail.

As youths, we are the major determinants of whether there will be peace or war and we have rightly chosen peace as there can never be any meaningful development without Peace and security.

We commend Governor Ugwuanyi’s proactive and untiring efforts at sustaining the peace we all are enjoying in Enugu State today.

We therefore pray the Governor to consider creating more platforms to accommodate more youths in government.

We urge him to impress it on the 17 local government Chairmen to consider giving youths in their various domains opportunity in government so as to engage their minds and also contribute their quota towards the development of the State.

Ugwuanyi is always thinking for the good of Enugu people and Nigeria in general. Recall that the Governor had clearly stated that he will support a Constitutional review that will provide for egalitarian Nigeria based on the principle of justice, equity and fair-play.

This he believes will surely resolve all the agitations and the growing insecurity in Nigeria.

As we look up to a brighter 2023, we reaffirm Enugu youths’ unflinching support to Governor Ugwuanyi led administration and his continued resolve to sustaining the existing peace in the state through all inclusive government, youth participation and aggressive rural developmental drive.
