Chief Iwuanyanwu’s death is a “Personal loss”- Chukwuma

Sir. Paul Chukwuma has described the death of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as a “personal loss.” In a statement, Chukwuma who is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council of Olivia University, Burundi and Benue State University, said that Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu was a patriotic Nigerian and a committed leader who left nothing to chance.

According to the statement, “Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu was a foremost patriot and businessman who made his marks in various sectors of Nigeria’s economy, playing at the very highest levels in a variety of sectors including the media sector. Chief Iwuanyanwu was a giant and a man of immense values who was guided by an insurmountable can-do spirit of a devoted nationalist.”

Speaking about his tenure as the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo from April last year till his death yesterday, Sir. Chukwuma described Chief Iwuanyanwu as a passionate public servant. “As President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the past year, his passion in service and love for ndi Igbo as a true Nigerian, can be seen and even felt in the way he ran the apex Igbo organization from April last year when he assumed office, till his demise on Thursday”, the statement reads.

Accordingly, for Mr. Chukwuma, Chief Iwuanyanwu’s death is both a “personal loss and a collective loss to Ndigbo and Nigerians at large,” and extended his condolences to his family, Ohaneze Ndigbo, friends, and associates of the deceased.

Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu died on Thursday from an undisclosed cause at the age of 82 years.
