“The Honorable Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah.
Sir,
I am writing to express my deep concern about the recent attacks by Fulani herdsmen in my dear local government area and its communities. My own community, Nkpologu, on 11th April, woke up to see our son Chijioke Anioke lifeless, murdered and massacred by the marauding Fulani herdsmen on our land. He was shot severely and macheted to death.
Late last week in this same month, our people, in their uncountable numbers, also suffered the same fate at Opanda and Adani communities in the same local government. What did we do? Where have we gone wrong?
These incidents have created a climate of fear and uncertainty in our serene and peaceful communities where our people are predominantly farmers.

I am writing to express my deep concern about the escalating insecurity in the whole state. The recent surge in violent crimes, kidnappings, massacring and banditry has created a climate of fear and uncertainty, leaving many communities, especially in the Uzo Uwani Local Area, vulnerable.
As the chief executive of our state, I implore you to take immediate action to address this crisis especially that of herder/farmer continuous conflicts. The people of Uzo Uwani deserve a safe and secure environment, and you must ensure their protection.
For how long must we continue to bury our youths, leaving their wives, widows, and children fatherless? For how long are we going to continue weeping and wailing? Who will take care of us, and who will bury us?
I urge you to:
1. Deploy additional security personnel and resources to affected areas, especially in Nkpologwu, Nimbo, Opanda and Adani.
2. Implement effective community-based security initiatives.
3. Enhance intelligence gathering and sharing among security agencies.
4. Address the underlying causes of insecurity, such as allowing the Fulani herders and their cows to graze on our farm, destroy our farm crops with impunity and reckless abandon
The people of Uzo Uwani are counting on your good leadership to restore peace and security. I hope you will take this appeal seriously and take prompt action.
I also urge you to take immediate action to address this issue. Deploying additional security personnel and engaging with security agencies would help prevent further attacks.
I hope you will take this matter seriously and work towards creating a safer environment for our community.
Sincerely,
Nwada Eberechukwu Anigbogu (ADABIAFRA) from Nkpologu Uzo Uwani Enugu State.
