Anambra 2025: Ekwunife Takes Soludo to the Cleaners—Mocks Professorship, Vows to Oust APGA
AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE — APC deputy governorship candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has lodged a blistering comeback at Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo after his accusation that her PhD was acquired from a “fake, unaccredited” university in the United States.
Soludo Speaks: Crackdown on Certificate Forgers Coming
Governor Soludo, addressing his APGA campaign team in Awka, warned that after his recent campaign against fake native doctors, his administration would soon go after “certificate forgers.” He claimed that Ekwunife’s PhD was sourced from a non-accredited institution and likened the process to paying for a degree—even as cheap as $60—for a supposed PhD .
Ekwunife Fires Back: “Take Me to Court, Stop the Smears”
In a viral video shared with Jungle-Journalist.Com, Ekwunife dismissed Soludo’s allegations as politically motivated and false. She urged him to seek legal redress if he doubted her qualifications, affirming that her degrees are fully verifiable at the University of Calabar (B.Sc.), Nnamdi Azikiwe University (MBA), and Atlantic International University (PhD) .
“If Governor Soludo thinks my certificate is fake, let him go to court… He cannot rewrite my academic record with cheap lies,” she said.
She Slams His Professorship, Pledges to Dethrone APGA
Ekwunife also took aim at Soludo’s acclaimed professorship, calling it hollow and urging him to prioritize governance over personal attacks. (Watered-down version): She cheekily referred to him as a “smelling professor,” advising he pay as much attention to his public presence as his political point-scoring.
She accused his administration of failing Ndi Anambra, citing escalating insecurity and the erosion of peace that once defined the state:
“Anambra was peaceful before you came. Today, people are fleeing instead of arriving. Your professorship hasn’t delivered results—you’ve failed Ndi Anambra.”
Ekwunife declared her campaign a credible alternative and vowed that with November’s election, “APGA will be sacked.”
