Hon.(Princess) Benedicta Attoh who distributed the financial support at the Imiekuri market in Okpella on Saturday also visited the Ebelle Market in North Ivie on Tuesday in continuation of her regular Benedicta’s Market Women Money.

The Council Chairman who was overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd of women on her arrival, lamented the hunger and hardship inflicted on Nigerians by the APC-led federal government, pledging to continue her regular financial support for women. She called on them to pray for the donor of the funds, Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor who has constantly supported her in reaching out to market Women. She particularly extended gratitude to Chief (Sir) Tonna Okei whom she described as the brain box behind the financial support as a brother and a good mediator.

While addressing the women at the Imiekuri markets in Okpella and the Ebelle respectively, Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh who was emotional, spoke in her local dialect.

“I am here today as one of you. I have experienced hardship and suffering at various stages of my life as a young girl and as a mother. I understand your pain and I know what women are going through. The burden of the home is on you. By God’s grace, I will stand with you now and always. Do not be discouraged and do not give up. Soon, and very soon, all of this hardship would be over”, she promised.

The LG Boss, who distributed financial assistance of 5000 naira each to 40 (forty) petty traders selling vegetables, pure water, ice fish, cooked and roasted corn, groundnuts, biscuits at the Ebelle Market where she urged them to add the money to their daily business for additional income.

It would be recalled that the Council Chairman and representative of Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor had earlier visited the Agenebode main market where several women were empowered with 10,000 each amidst her constant hosting of widows in Ward 10 in Okpekpe where she regularly distributed food items like rice, garri, yam, and others to the widows.

In a related development, Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh, on Tuesday took the gospel of the Edo State PDP Governorship candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo and his Deputy Osarodion Ogie to various communities and markets across the council.

The Chairman who distributed PDP Campaign materials such as crested aprons, caps and handbills of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie described the PDP candidate as the best man for the job. “Asue Ighodalo is educated, knowledgeable, exposed, and enlightened about governance with a brilliant and a listening Deputy Governor Barr. Osarodion Ogie who is one of the most experienced politicians and human resource of inestimable value in Edo State. She assured that the duo would use their knowledge and experience to move Edo to its preferred destination.
