BREAKING: Nkerefi Community To Hold Economic and Security Summit 2025, Appoints Monday Diamond Ani CPC Chairman

The Nkerefi Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State is set to hold the first mega historic Town Hall Meeting entitled; Nkerefi Economic and Security Summit(NESS’25).


This initiative was conceived and presented by the Nkerefi Development Union(NDU) under the leadership of Prince Jim Nonso Dubem, the socio-political, socio-economic and socio-cultural umbrella body that oversees the affairs of the four autonomous communities that make up Nkerefi town.


The unveiling of this historic program comes with the establishment of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) and the immediate appointment of Hon Monday Diamond Ani as the Chairman of the CPC and Chief Cletus Chukwu(Rtd Secondary School Principal) as the CPC Secretary.


CPC Members include the Presidents of the Four Autonomous Communities in Nkerefi as well as the Branch Chairmen of NDU in the diaspora.



The NESS’25 which was conceived with a Blueprint for Nkerefi five years from now will focus mainly on the following cardinal goals

Mega Fundraising Initiative for Community Social, Security and Economic Development.

Construction of Nkerefi Central Multipurpose TownHall/Civic Center

Construction of Inter-villages Culverts in the Four Autonomous Communities that make Nkerefi Town.

Construction of Nkerefi Interboarder Barricades for an effective community security system.

Establishment of the Nkerefi Education and Security Trust Fund(NESTF) for proper funding of Community Security and Education Empowerment for the Most Outstanding Students/the Needy Students in Nkerefi.

Proposal for the Establishment of a Higher Institution in Nkerefi vis-a-vis School of Nursing.


The paramount section of the event is a Distinguished Lecture by;

Hon Justice Cyprian O Ajah PhD, Judge, High Court of Justice Enugu/Visiting Prof of Comparative and International Law, Atlanta Graduate School, Georgia, USA.

Also, there will be a lecture on the Impacts of Culture and Tradition in a Peaceful, United and Progressive Community by HRH Igwe Luke Ogbu Ogbuta Okorie (Eze Anyanecheoha 1 of Nkerefi).


The NESS’25 which will attract the presence of Who is Who in the society is scheduled to hold as follows;
