Hon Ugochinyere and Prince Uwanuakwa

A chieftain and business mogul of Ideato descent, Prince Kingsley Chukwuebuka Uwanuakwa has blasted the Member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State and House Committee Chairman on Downstream Petroleum, Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere.

Prince Uwanuakwa, in a Press Statement, asked Ugochinyere to face his Constituency and begin to execute projects, instead of facing Rivers State and it’s crises.

According to Uwanuakwa, Ikenga has a lot of projects lying low, waiting for someone to undertake them and execute.

He said “He has a lot of work to do in Ideato and he has not done even a quarter of them. People are facing the worst austerity right now, there is no potable water, there is serious paucity of electricity. Our Constituency is a wonderful rural area that yearns for attention, but the only attention we get is insecurity at its highest level, and we have a lawmaker who has a responsibility to stand for us and work for us, as we have elected him to be our voice and attract projects to better our place.

“People cannot move about freely without fear of kidnap or robbery, or killing. We are at the verge of the Christmas when we need better security in the area. But what do we have? A lawmaker whose only concern is to face issues bothering another state entirely. Is that why we elected him to represent us? Our people are dying and he is there talking nonsense about Rivers State. Why don’t you use that energy to talk to the Minister of Works, talk to the heads of security in the country and ask them to come to the aid of your Constituents? We elected you to correct the anomalies in our Constituency and you prefer to spend your time to make trouble, talking from East to west, from north to south.

“This is not a talking time, it’s a working time. He should be aware that four years is not forever and will come to an end before he knows it. So Ideato people will again come out to make their choice. Do you think they will vote again for you, with the record you have built for yourself?

“Please wake up. Many of our people don’t even know you as the lawmaker representing them, they only know you as a talking lawmaker. You have no business with Rivers State because you are not from there. Don’t cry more than the bereaved.

“Leave Rivers State crises alone and return to base.

“I am also urging you to use your talking energy to join force with the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial Zone, Osita Bonaventure Izunaso so that you can call the attention of the president to the predicaments of our people and attract the needed development. Please wake up.

“Bad roads need to be eliminated. Insecurity need to be eliminated. Can’t we have a military base here in Ideato to increase security and save lives? Is it too big for him to do? You should use your talking power to urge the FG to release Nnamdi Kanu.

“Leave south-south and face South-East, please, Prince Uwanuakwa stated.
