The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu, has condemned what it described as ‘the unwarranted and criminal abduction of Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka’, President of Ohaneze Youths Council (OYC) in Owerri by Ebonyi State Police Command of Nigeria in a Gestapo style.
MASSOB, in a Press Statement, accused Ebonyi Police Command of working for some influential politicians who are not comfortable with the eloquence and boldness of Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka’s exposure of corruption and non-performance of some political officeholders as those behind the arrest.
The statement read in part, “This despicable and cruel abduction of the Igbo youth leader must be resisted by all who love peace and justice for our people.
“This intimidation against Ndi Igbo must stop, nobody should push us to the wall because there is a limit to human endurance. Igbo land is already boiling with the government’s insincerity, which has caused hunger and restlessness in the land.
“MASSOB demands the unconditional release of Comrade Igboayaka without delay. Why are these self-centred politicians so desirous of hijacking all the Igbo pressure groups just because of fear of losing the 2027 general election?
“Release Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka now. Don’t push Igbo land into unnecessary chaos. Those involved in his kidnapping are pushing the Igbo youths to the wall of retaliation.
