Our organisation, One Love Foundation, a Public Interest and Civil Protection Movement, operating from. Edo State Nigeria write you in the interest of Edo citizens in particular, and Nigerians in general, over the election of your State Chairman, Barr Nosa Edo-Osagie.

Barrister Nosa Edo-Osagie’s emergence as the State Chairman of the NBA, and as such, would not have been an issue of concern to our organisation, which represents the interests of the good people of Edo State and Nigeria.

However, developments have made it practically impossible for us to keep quiet and pretend that all is well, as the fate of Edo people, who make use of the judiciary, which the NBA represent hangs in the balance.

For a start, you all must be aware that your State Chairman is a partisan politician, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State. You must also be aware that this same Chairman is also an appointee of the Edo State Government in two capacities, first as a member of Edo State Private Property Protection Committee and also, a board member of the Edo State Public Procurement Agency.

With the above development, we of One Love Foundation are alarmed that with an NBA Chairman whose bias is both political party based, and pro-government, the interests of members of the general public are grossly at danger, as NBA cannot be trusted not to compromise the law to favour it’s Chairman’s paymasters, the Government in one side and the PDP on the other.

We therefore, are joining the voices of concern, stongly calling for the prompt resignation of Nosa Edo-Osagie either as NBA Chairman In Edo State, or resignation from the two boards, as well as the political party he belongs to the PDP.

As a voice of the voiceless, One Love Foundation will continue to sound this alarm, that Edo people at the moment are in grave danger of never getting justice, as long as Nosa Edo-Osagie remains the NBA Chairman, especially when a litigant is opposed to the Edo State Government or the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Edo people are peace loving, love justice, and believe in fairness and the rule of law.

But we do not believe that we are protected anymore with the biases of Edo-Osagie.

We look forward to your consideration of our concerns, and prompt action.

Signed,

Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor,

President,

One Love Foundation Nigeria.
