The management, staff and officials of All Aro USA Medical Clinic and Aro Health Committee in Arochukwu on Monday (August 2, 2021), opened its doors to Arochukwu community and beyond, for free medical treatment.

Speaking during the flag off of the free medical treatment, the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Onyekwere Mike Ukoha, who went down memory lane, explained that the clinic started in the year 2000, as a project built by Aros in Diaspora for Aro people at home.

He stated that the idea for the project was muted during the visit of the late Eze Aro (Mazi Vincent Ogbonnaya Okoro), to Washington, DC., in the United States.

He thanked all Aros in Diaspora for their great contributions towards the realization of the clinic.

The Lawmaker specifically, thanked the following major players that contributed hugely such as Mazi Eni Paul Kanu, Mazi Jay Oji, Dr. Okey Ijomanta and Mazi David Iphie. Subsequently, Dr. Alex Otti and Chief Chikwe Udensi, who also contributed towards the clinic.

He went further to thank Dr. Ijomanta for the borehole/medications, Mazi Iphie for the recent renovation works and providing accommodation for the two Corpers who are now working at the clinic.

He further hinted that over the years, the clinic had passed through struggles in a bid to actually provide the envisioned primary healthcare, adding that under Dr. Henry Onyeador the Inyom Aro Houston, TX, built and equipped the maternity block.

He noted that Mazi Frank Agodi using the AAUSA Clinic Committee and working with Aro Health Committee, actualized what we are witnessing today. The AAUSA Clinic and Aro Health Committees were chaired by Mazi David Iphie and Dr. Okoro Ukpabi respectively. He thanked them (Dr. Okoro Ukpabi and Iphie), for their unrelenting interest and urged them to continue to work harmoniously for the benefits of those at home.

He thanked all those who have participated in the past medical missions, especially Dr. Loveth Oji, and Dr. Catherine Ukoha, who is the medications/supplies procurement officer.

The Minority Whip expressed delight that just recently, he was able to attract 2 Corp members (Doctor and Pharmacist), to the clinic, for enhanced Healthcare.

The Lawmaker thanked the President General, Nzuko Aro, members of the Aro Healthcare Committee, AAUSA Executive President and members for the excellent work we all have collectively done and prayed God to continue to bless each and every one of them.
